Civilian Morale, Welfare & Recreation

Civilian Morale, Welfare and Recreation is designed to foster the health, well-being and morale of all Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees located throughout the NSAW fencelines by encouraging, promoting and supporting recreational, social, educational and related activities, programs, and porjects for it's members.  CMWR activities are designed to complement a military MWR activity.

CMWR funds are generated from vending machine sales and from NEX Food & Beverage Operations.  These funds are then used to provide and enhance Quality of Life (QoL) Programs for the DoD Civilians throughout NSAW.

Each tenant command throughout NSAW is eligible to appoint a CMWR representative to be a member of the Advisory Council.  The council meets every quarter to recommend program ideas to the NSAW MWR Director for inclusion in the annual budget. Representatives must be full-time civilian employees of the activity and may not be contracted personnel.
